Meditation is an integral part of our homoerotic yogic tantra practice and goes hand-in-hand with self-reflection and sādhana, our spiritual practice.
Meditation, self-reflection, and sādhana are three paths to enstasy or turning inward, as opposed to ecstasy, turning outward.
Suffering is a much misunderstood topic and is usually thought of in rather negative terms like psychic pain, emotional upset, physical pain or anything connected with some sort of unpleasantness. That may be very true and it is the unpleasantness of suffering that actually gets our attention.
While suffering and its main characteristic of unpleasantness may be the reason most people will associate suffering only with unpleasantness, in homoerotic yogic tantra we learn that suffering is actually positive. It is what I call “directive,” since it gets our attention to inform us that we are lacking something that needs to be seen to and a.s.a.p. In other words, suffering is a signpost pointing to something vital the sufferer is missing.
This guided meditation is all about suffering and changing how you interpret and work with suffering, whether the suffering is great or just nominal. Learning how to read suffering can be a life changer.
